A spinners DREAM!

This English Longwool breed was developed from the Border Leicester in the early 20th century.

With a staple length of 6-8 inches this fiber is easy to spin. A hearty micron count of 26. Long curly lustrous fibers lend a finished product with drape and shine! You won't believe how soft and buttery this fiber is! A lacey shawl made of BFL will drape over your shoulders and sway over your curves as you walk. The scales on the individual fibers are shaped differently than, say, merino wool which makes BFL a little harder to felt. This is a strong wool with curl and crimp. Soaks up dye brilliantly.

Microns: 26mic
Fiber Length: 85-90mm
Top/Roving Length: 4 meters per 100g
Top/Roving Width: 1 inch

quality BFL top

I ordered the humbug BFL. This is quality top, feels like real BFL. I have ordered BFL top from other supplies and received something less than what BFL should be. But this seems right - lustrous, long staple, fine.
