I recommend this product
Great wool for dreads!

I loved this wool! I am always trying out different types and this has been one of my favorites. It felts easily (be careful while dying on stove top) which is a big bonus for me. It has a nice little ***** curl to it. Very soft!

Chevron wool roving

I found this to be wonderful to felt fleeces into lovely rugs. White photo is the Chevron roving as I felted it on to a Icelandic fleece last summer sold at Christmas fair. The second is the finished rug.

Perfect for Beginners

This roving was absolutely perfect for a beginner. I split it into three sections so I could practice handdyeing and the roving took the dye very well. I've spun two of these three sections so far and it truly is such a lovely, easy fiber to spin. Plus, it's a great amount of fiber for the price, I got a ton of yardage out of the 2-ply yarns I've created so far. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future!

HISTORY:

Cheviot sheep originated in the Cheviot Hills on the border of England and Scotland.  They were referred to as the Border Cheviot and are the foundation stock for the Brecknock and the North Country Cheviots.  This hardy breed can withstand harsh environments and are known for being great mothers.  Cheviot tweeds are a traditional woven fabric, famous for their crispness and durability, making it a popular suiting material for both men and women.
