I’ve never woven before, and I had been toying with the idea for a long time, and had done a bunch of research on what type of loom to invest in as a beginner. This one came highly recommended to me, and it lives up to the hype - it is well built and the instructions are clear and concise. Disclosure- this was purchased for me as a present, but my mother in law said the ladies at Paradise Fibers where super sweet and courteous and helped her every step of the way.
Assembled myself (84 y.o.). Must be easy! Have done a long practice piece I actually will wear as a scarf. Have just taken material off the loom that looks much more consistent and will make a purse with it, Have an idea for a hanging holder for all of my circular knitting needles and cables. Need another reed so will have to wait a while. Do I Iove it? Yes, easy to use, clear instructions, and speedy delivery too!!!
This is a nice little loom. I do prefer rigid heddle looms with front and back beams (I have 2 Schacht Crickets and a Flip which I love) but I wanted a small loom that could be used on the lap and this loom works well for that purpose. Because of the lack of front/back beams you can't put a very long warp on it but then it's a small loom so I certainly didn't expect that I could. I put a 3 yard warp on it (light worsted weight yarn) and that's about it's max. It certainly is a nice loom for the money and would be good for a beginner. I found the instructions to be excellent for assembling the loom, good close up photos every step of the way. Here's a photo of my 1st project on this loom.
