Worked well for my project!
Glad to find dyed fleece locks here (on Etsy dyed locks are more expensive). Now, I do wish they'd come washed, however, considering a good price, I can wash them myself. I need them to complete a shawl that I had knitted but which turned out a tad too thin to match a winter hat I knitted later. Instead of ripping out/remaking the shawl I decided to add a felted detail incorporating dyed locks,- this way the shawl becomes so much warmer for winter wear. I did need a shade of red/apricot/orange, and the Paradise Fibers offering dyed locks as a bag fool of colours was just great for me, since I knew it isn't easy to find a perfect match of locks for my shawl 's color yarn and I would have to combine various colours in order to achieve the shade I need. Now, thank Heavens, I can finish the project and have no more of those perfection-crazed creative torments of mine. Thank you, PF !
I saw on line how these wavy shuttles can be used - really beautiful and not easily replicated in some other way (not that I could find anyway), so it was nice to find this weaving tool on Paradise Fibers. I did wait for a discount to buy these, for they are rather pricey, and I did want to get at least one of each size, since I own Rigid Heddle looms in all 3 widths: 16", 24" and 36". Now that I received mine from Paradise Fibers and got some yarn, I'm looking forward to complete my knitting projects and go back to weaving using my newly acquired "toys". Thanks, Paradise Fibers!
A beautiful high luster wool with a well defined crimp ideal for medium to thick yarns. These locks have been scoured only. Give a light wash and they are ready to use in many different craft applications such as handspinning, carding, combing, felting, weaving, knitting, and more!
