Incredibly soft fiber in lustrous and smooth vibrant colors.
Colors may vary slightly from batch to batch due to the nature of natural fiber. We have taken every step to represent the colors correctly. Colors can change depending on your screen settings.
I absolutely loved spinning the constellation range! I used the fractal spinning technique from the November fiber box to spin the Aquila, Aries, Aquarius, Leo, Taurus and Virgo. The end result was a fun 2-ply yarn that was vibrant and unique. I ended up calling it Melted Crayons. I will say because of the high percentage of tussah silk the roving is quite slick and it is easier to work with if you pull it into pencil rovings. Thankfully the blend is smooth enough that the pencil rovings remain consistent to the original color (I hate when you get a poorly blended roving that gets messed up if it is split). All-in-all I am fully satisfied with what I received and can't wait to spin up the rest of what I have!!
The spinning fibers you carry are gorgeous. I was tempted by so many things, but restricted myself to two, for now. Gotta spin something before I buy more, but I'll definitely be back!
I love this fiber for both wet felting and needle felting. I have been using it to make felted pumpkins!
Better in person than photos could project -! The silk stays in narrow bands of shimmering silk and really brings out the colors of merino top . A gorgeous fiber to spin - probably best for spinners with some experience spinning fine top because of the different drafts of merino and silk - but if you have trouble there’s always spinning from the fold - it looks lovely as well :))
