Cascade Spindle Little Si Drop Spindle

I like this spindle a lot. I just started spinning and have been using a borrowed spindle which was pretty, but the whorl was very slick and did not have a notch cut out to hold the yarn sin place. This one has a nice size notch which will accommodate various thickness yarn (which is good right now LOL). The finish is really beautiful and smooth -- my yarn has not caught on anything yet. The spindle is lightweight and easy to use.

I have been spindling for about a year, and started with the typical hardware store spindles, then branched out to 'better spindles' I heard of Cascade spindles on the Spin Doctor Podcast and came to get one.The one i wanted was unavailable and i ended up with this one. I am not disappointed. Although it is ' the basic model;, it is really a great little spindle. I was worried because the shaft is so short, but it has not been a problem. It spins like a dream and even thought it is so much lighter than i am used to, the yarn comes out so beautiful!! It is making some wonderful sock yarn for me. I love it so much that i am back for one of the other cascade spindles,--which i can only find at paradise fibers.
