Outstanding, a very good buy!
This yarn is a favorite of mine for making felted hats, berets, and bags. It shrinks evenly and consistently, and fulls nicely. The resulting felt doesn't pill and holds its shape very well. It also felts at a pretty moderate rate, so you can keep control of your product. I like to knit in a strand of laceweight mohair along with this yarn when I'm making hats, which makes a nice halo and an extra-cozy hat. Definitely a great price and makes top notch felt.
L live knitting with this yarn, and how it fells.
I've ordered the 8-, 10-, and 14-ply version of this yarn and have been delighted with all. First, you get a BIG CHUNK of yarn, obviously, with five skeins in one. The yarn knits well, has a wonderful bounce, and good stitch definition. It felts easily and evenly. I actually like to just knit a garment and let it felt while wearing it, which makes it extra comfortable. The yarn is not super soft, but also not scratchy. Just right in between. I knitted a hoodie, some slipper socks, and an afghan. All very pleasing. The color choices have been excellent, a good variety, and the colors are clear and crisp. The ply ... to give you an idea: 14-ply works well for slipper socks and makes nice cuddly afghans. 10-ply and 8-ply are nice for garments, like hoodies and hats. I can't come up with anything negative about this yarn. It depends on your purpose, of course, but for the projects and characteristics described above, it has been the best and most affordable yarn I could find. Best proof of that is that I stocked up recently, for future projects ...
Very fast delivery and the yarn is just perfect for my project.

We won't be able to get anymore of this fabulous wool yarn once it's gone.
We love this yarn because it is not overly processed, so it felts wonderfully in all the popular knit-then-felt patterns. It is luxurious yet durable, spun mainly from Perendale type fleeces. There is large palette of natural colors, as well as an expanded range of solids. It is put in economical 250g skeins which are great for felted clogs, hats and handbags. You'll also find the large skeins perfect for making sweaters that are durable and soft to the touch with very few ends to weave in.
