I love this yarn! It’s got a little stretch but seems nice and sturdy. It’s smooth and works up nicely. The color is beautiful!
this yarn is soft and has a slight sheen to it. It's not as brightly colored as it appears online. I am super excited to work with this yarn.
I knitted a swatch on size 3mm needles and love the texture, fabric and feel. I took life of the yarn into my own hands by machine washing and drying. The piece had the same size before and after and the colors were just as lovely. I plan to knit sleeveless summer top with the 4 colors I bought, with striping and or a little fair isle here and there. Love this yarn and feel so good about reusing pop bottles. Wish I could send mine directly where I know they'll be used in yarn!!! :) The fabric does not feel like it will be warm with the polyester in it, but I can't really tell with such a small sample. And for summer or tote bags and a color pop scarf, warmth will not be an issue. Bamboo can be just the right warmth or coolness for summer, but not sure what the polyester will do to the mix. Oh, and forgot to say that I really like the marl look in the yarn.
I am finishing up a cardigan using this yarn and really love it. Smooth, supple, easy to work with but also creates a beautiful garment. I plan to buy more!
A beautiful yarn, great for scarves! This blend of bamboo and polyester (from recycled bottles!) falls somewhere close to a 5/2 yarn for weaving, and is very affordable, having ~305 yards per 100g hank. I ordered it out of curiosity; I'll order more because it feels great against my skin--actually much softer than I imagined! If you like bamboo, you'll love Popcycle. I can't wait to get this on my loom!!
Casting-on never felt so good! Popcycle yarn by Hikoo is an eco-friendly blend of 50% Bamboo and 50% Polyester from Recycled Plastic Bottles.
