Paradise Fibers Mulberry Silk Noil

Paradise Fibers

Mulberry silk is the highest quality silk available for purchase. The unique thing about Mulberry silk is how it is produced. Mulberry silk has its history in China, where local farmers grow mulberry leaves for silkworms, which are actually caterpillars, to feed on. The resulting cocoons are spun into raw Mulberry silk fibers.

Noil Fibers are the short fibers containing crushed pupa that remain after the silk is carded or combed for spinning.  The short fibers and little neps give the noil fiber a nice texture for spinning or silk fusion.

This is Grade A noil perfect for adding texture to batts, or spun into yarns. Takes Dye Brilliantly. The possibilities are limitless!

Mulberry silk noil

Great fiber, easy to work with. Dyes beautifully. Perfect for my art yarn blending. Also fabulous for hand spun tweed preparations.

Fiscal Fiber

I haven't used the silk yet but I was so happy to purchase it for a reasonable price. I like to have a variety of different fibers on hand for inspiration. However many times I see something interesting, want to order a few ounces and by the time I add on shipping, the cost is more than the fiber it self! Thank you Paradise, for making your shipping so reasonable and appropriate....not to mention I ordered it on a Saturday and received it in Monday's mail!
