I split these into two color groups and spun them separately, then plied them together into a bulky yarn. I love how the colors played and complemented each other — this is a beautiful combination pack. I knit up a long circle scarf from the wool and it’s now my favorite scarf!
This is my second purchase of this exact mixed bag - I liked the colors so much I had to get more! The merino is very easy to spin.
These are the colors out of which I make my winter wardrobe so it seemed right to make a pair of socks. Well, I had enough to make 2 pairs of socks. Nice soft wool is very comfortable next to skin.
I got the mixed berry bag for the Spinning Olympics events that Paradise Fibers held in 2017. I am an extreme beginner, but the fibers weren’t too difficult to work with. I used a top whorl drop spindle and made a very short yarn using each of the colors. It makes a beautiful gradient, I just wish they had been labeled better. A couple of the rovings, I would love to have individually, but they aren’t individually labeled by color.
Haven’t had a chance yet to use my purchases
