Paradise Fibers Lazy Kate - Tensioned
Our Kate comes in a 3 or 4 post version. You can also purchase them with the additional 10" pins for your longer bobbins.
The Paradise Fibers Lazy Kate is a very nice piece of equipment. It was designed to work perfectly with the Paradise Fibers "Revolution" Spinning Wheel but will work with most makes of bobbins including Ashford, Lendrum, Schacht and Kromski. The 6 inch bobbin spindle will handle all bobbins up to 5-1/2" long with bearings of 1/4" or bigger, and end flanges up to 4-1/2". The Bearing Rods slide smoothly into the opposite side and hold with slight pressure to keep them in place while plying. Enjoy this handy and well made tensioned "not so lazy" Kate.
The new updated version of our Lazy Kate has removed the eyelet hooks and replaced them holes for better yarn guiding. The addition of these tapered holes allows your yarn to pull from your bobbin at an angle ideal for plying, significantly decreasing the chance of your yarn becoming tangled before you ply, and provides less drag and unwanted tension. The holes are more than large enough for most art yarn plying and because they are sanded smooth you'll notice that your art yarn does not catch on any sharp edges.
Anybody who "knows" Paradise Fibers Fiber tools, will tell you they are beautifully built, paying attention to details and durability.
