I own the Kromski Polonaise and love it. The only issue was that it was difficult to travel with, so I got the Sonata so I could take it with me. I wanted to stick with Kromski so that most of the accoutrements were interchangeable between my two wheels....but I didn't care for the distance between me and the orifice and I had a horrible time with overspin on my Sonata. Having the MoA in the back of the wheel, also made it difficult to see how my bobbin was filling and I had to stand up to move the fiber along the hooks. It wasn't horrible, but inconvenient and made me not really want to use it. Then I received this new flyer this weekend and got it hooked up. It's a total game changer. I now love my Sonata as much as I love my Polonaise. I'm so glad that Kromski was able to make this design change, as moving the MoA to the front makes all the difference. I'm super happy that Kromski was able to do this in such a way that I didn't have to replace the whole wheel. I still have a lot to learn about spinning (less than a year doing this now), but I am over the moon happy with this new flyer. Changing bobbins is so easy now. And not only is it easier to spin with (and control everything), but I can now use my Sonata as a double-drive wheel, like my Polonaise. Double-win! And the triple-win is that Paradise Fibers carried it!
