Works exactly as it should!
I’d been using an Ashford unfinished Niddy Noddy that I bought 20 years ago. I had no idea what I was missing out on until I got the Kromski. I’ve now bought one in each size and couldn’t be happier. The old NN is finally retired.
I have the small size. So much easier that wrapping yarn around a chair. Ha!
This is absolutely beautiful finished (although I'm sure you can make it just as pretty finishing it yourself too). The niddy noddy is able to be flat packed away but looks great sitting out with your spinning gear. It's smooth finishes keep it from catching on your yarns and allow for an easy removal of the skein. I picked a medium sized one in Mahogany. The eew nano bobbins don't let you get as much yarn on them as a full sized wheel does so these shorter skeins look fuller than a larger niddy noddy skein would. I think if you are doing 4+ oz of yarn you may wish to go up to the large as there is less risk of having some of the yarn come off one of the ends with a larger model.
