I never thought I’d be a fan of sharp chrome knitting needles, but these have converted me. Smooth joins and points that bring joy to lace knitting.
Unpacking the package was fun, lots of extras that don't come with other needles; the tips are great, much like the ChiaGoo's that are my go to needles; but the cords just didn't do it for me. The ChiaGoo red cords are the best I've tried, so am a bit spoiled. I've used the Hiya Hiya needles and they are smooth, the join is better than most, so I would absolutely recommend them and I will continue to use them.
I love sharp tips on my knitting needles...especially since I knit lace and now am getting into cables. I have a whole wide selection of the interchangeable Chiaogoos and thought I would never find any needles that would be better...until...I discovered the interchangeable Hiya Hiya SHARPS. OMG...the tips are sharp as you would ever need them to be for lace and doing cables. The joins between the needle and cable are smooth...they are flawless. I discovered them through Suzanne Bryant's youtube videos. I am so grateful for this addition to my knitting needles.
I love that this set encompasses both large and small sets so I didn't have to get both large and small sets. Joints are very smooth but you do have to make sure they are on tight as they can unscrew. I just give them a little twist every few rows to make sure they are still tight. The point are just pointed enough and the surface very smooth. Love them!
These HiyaHiya needles are significantly smoother than the bamboo circulars I had been using, so it makes knitting go a lot faster now that my yarn isn’t getting caught up on my needles! I also love how pointy the tips are, because now I can easily cable without needing a separate cabling needle.
