Entrelac is a technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. The resulting fabric looks like woven knitted strips but is actually knitted in one piece. The technique looks more difficult than it is! This scarf is the perfect introduction to entrelac and is great for beginners.
- Kit comes with 4 balls of: Noro Silk Garden (4 skeins) or Lana Gatto Supersoft (4 skeins)
- Yarn Requirements: approx 440 yards of DK/Aran weight yarn (variegated recommended)
- Needles: US size 8 (5 mm) (or size to obtain gauge)
61 inches x 6.5 inches, unblocked (size is dependent upon gauge and how severely you block it, if you decide to do so)
18 stitches and 24 rows/4 inches in stockinette stitch. Gauge is not crucial since this is not a fitted garment but changes in gauge can affect both the size of the scarf and the amount of yarn required to complete it.
