Enjoyable

This yarn is satisfying to knit with. It is soft enough on the hands but feels incredibly durable. Will very likely purchase again.

The best of both worlds! Drapey and resilient Alpaca beautifully blended with a unique breed of Wool. The fibers that make up these natural skeins are sourced from some of the happiest animals in the Inland Northwest. Each skein is something new. Compass Moon Creations has partnered with many local farms to harvest the amazing wool and alpaca fiber that makes up each skein. These farms have different breeds and flock sizes, leading to skeins with an entirely original composition. Whether your skein has lofty merino wool or a lustrous Gotland, you can guarantee that the color and quality remain the same. Help support local farms and local makers, and knit yourself up a sweater that will keep you feeling warm and delighted.

Please make sure you order enough for your project as the natural color, fiber percentages, and fiber content will vary between batches. Every batch of yarn is unique, and there will be slight variations even in the same batch.

Every digital screen is calibrated differently. Slight variations in tone and saturation will vary from screen to screen. The actual color of your item may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

About Compass Moon Creations

Compass Moon Creations is the passion project of Jennefer Marker. From a little girl sitting in front of a knitting tower, to a young woman knitting her first scarf to combat the frigid Minnesota winter, to the north Idahoan craftswoman she is today, Jennefer found herself questing for a better, softer yarn. That is until she learned to create it herself. Over the past seven years, she has taken Compass Moon Creations to new heights, crafting and hand dyeing beautiful yarns, fibers, even stitch markers!

Jennefer strives to support the Northwest fiber farm community, and her fiber is primarily sourced from over 22 local hobby farms, homegrown from happy, healthy Inland Northwest sheep. Jennefer’s whole family gets involved with prepping the fleeces to make something special with them!  Handspun and hand-dyed yarn, gorgeous carded art batts for spinning and felting, dryer balls, felting supplies, fiber locks and so much more!  She primarily uses sheep’s wool, alpaca, and goat fiber, but will spin and use everything from angora rabbit to camel….whatever soft, luscious stuff she can get her hands on!  Besides yarns and fiber goodies, Jennefer also enjoys creating funky stitch markers, earrings, and *bling* that promote fiber & yarn love!
