I recommend this product

Loved the variation in color and texture

I bought this for adding locks to some art batts. I was happy with the varied colors and locks they sent. I was surprised with how soft the locks were.

Product Details

These hand-dyed, uncarded, incredibly curly locks are fantastic for all your project needs. Add dimension and uniqueness to your spinning, felting, and quilting with this beautiful wool from Compass Moon Creations. Sourced from inland Northwest farms, these locks may vary in composition, but never in quality. Each 2-ounce bag is a unique blend of sheep and goat wool. You may find yourself with a colorful bag of Leicester Longwool and Mohair, or a comfy combination of Finn and Cashmere. No matter the composition of your particular bag, you can rest assured of the high-quality of both the fiber and color.

Please note that these are uncarded fiber locks. Therefore, though washed and cleaned multiple times, there may still be small bits of hay stuck in the locks. Once the locks are opened up, the hay will naturally fall out.

Please make sure you order enough for your project as dye lots will vary between batches and within the same batch. Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, every pack is unique, and there will be slight variations even in the same batch.

Every digital screen is calibrated differently. Slight variations in tone and saturation will vary from screen to screen. The actual color of your item may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

About Compass Moon Creations

Compass Moon Creations is the passion project of Jennefer Marker. From a little girl sitting in front of a knitting tower to a young woman knitting her first scarf to combat the frigid Minnesota winter, to the north Idahoan craftswoman she is today, Jennefer found herself questing for a better, softer yarn. That is until she learned to create it herself. Over the past seven years, she has taken Compass Moon Creations to new heights, crafting and hand dyeing beautiful yarns, fibers, even stitch markers!

Jennefer strives to support the Northwest fiber farm community, and her fiber is primarily sourced from over 22 local hobby farms, homegrown from happy, healthy Inland Northwest sheep. Jennefer’s whole family gets involved with prepping the fleeces to make something special with them!  Handspun and hand-dyed yarn, gorgeous carded art batts for spinning and felting, dryer balls, felting supplies, fiber locks and so much more!  She primarily uses sheep’s wool, alpaca, and goat fiber, but will spin and use everything from angora rabbit to camel….whatever soft, luscious stuff she can get her hands on!  Besides yarns and fiber goodies, Jennefer also enjoys creating funky stitch markers, earrings, and *bling* that promote fiber & yarn love!
