The Barley Hat from Tin Can Knits is the fourth project in their Simple Collection, knit with 70-170 yards of Aran / Worsted yarn to create a cozy hat available in child and adult sizes. This super simple beanie can be sized to fit a head circumference from 16-23” and can be knit as a slouchy or tight fighting beanie.

- finished hat to fit baby (toddler, child, adult small, medium, adult large)
- To fit head circumference: 16 (17.5, 19, 20.5, 22, 23) inches
- note about samples - the hat can be knit as a snug beanie (like the baby and adult S samples) by knitting to length per the pattern. For a slouchier hat (like the child and adult L samples) simply knit an extra inch or so in length before decreasing!
Yarn weight: aran/worsted weight yarn
Yardage: 70 (90, 110, 150, 170) yds aran/worsted weight yarn
Needles: US #8 / 5.0 mm (or as required to meet gauge)
Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rows/ 4” in stockinette stitch
