SUPERWASH Blue Faced Leicester spinning fiber. This undyed, natural ecru colored spinning fiber is one of our bestselling superwash fibers for a reason!
It is a dream to spin, either on its own to incorporating with other more delicate fibers such as silk or bamboo on a drum carder while still blending with its natural sheen.  Though it is a superwash, it's still has the standard BFL "next to skin" softness.  Its long staple length make it easy to spin for beginners, either on a spinning wheel or a hand spindle.
This superwash merino is great for dyeing.  It accepts dye evenly and produces high quality, semi-lustre yarns.  Because it is a protein fiber, we recommend dyeing with our acid dyes.  Country Classic Dye is one of our bestselling lines of acid dyes, comes in a wide variety of colors, and is very easy to use.  If you're looking for something else, either the Ashford Acid Dyes or Washfast Acid dyes produce brilliant colorways.
Of the three types of Leicesters, the Blue Faced Leicester produces the finest fleeces.  Its narrow, curly locks rather than crimp give it more drape than Merino.  BFL fiber is a beautiful blend of strength, softness, and sheen.  Give it a try and you'll be hooked! 26 Micron, 4-5 inch staple length, combed top.
