This yarn was so beautiful I literally couldn't leave the store without it. It's a merino/nylon blend. In the store it felt pretty soft, but the more I knit with it, the more the nylon takes over. This is beautiful, but it just doesn't have the soft cozy feel that I expect of merino blends. I would not want to make socks made from this, fortunately I purchased it for a hat. Overall it's quite scratchy and I won't be purchasing more.
I've purchased some Ancient Arts before, so when June's yarn club was announced to be Ancient Arts 9 Ply I was beyond excited. I quickly picked a two color project and came to the site to purchase Scottish Mist to go with the Pantone, and I can't wait to work with it!
