This roving was absolutely perfect for a beginner. I split it into three sections so I could practice handdyeing and the roving took the dye very well. I've spun two of these three sections so far and it truly is such a lovely, easy fiber to spin. Plus, it's a great amount of fiber for the price, I got a ton of yardage out of the 2-ply yarns I've created so far. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future!
I am a beginner so using this roving is a great way to learn to draft.
This fiber takes dye really well and spins easily. I highly recommend this fiber for a new spinner, as the longer staples makes learning to draft much easier.
Took dye really well and spun up easily. It's much more grippy than merino, so I think it would be a good choice for beginners. It's also been super durable. I was able to spin thin enough for sock weight yarn, and so far they feel great on my feet and seem to be wearing like iron. I'm going to have these socks for many years!
Beautiful clean fiber, working well for this beginning drop spindle spinner.
