Within 48 hours, the site had a 20% off sale. Which left me wondering, why I paid full.price. I do like the mix of nylons. They're great to blend for socks, etc!
Spinning with this fiber is a dream
Service was wonderful as always. I found this product difficult to use, it felt very much like plastic. When I added it to other fibers it made them very clumpy, and again the feeling was there. I am not a novice spinner, but I am not an expert, so pehaps the fault is with me and not the fiber. I' m sure if I was able to blend it better it would have a softer feel. I will continue to expeiment!
I bought the nylon roving to because I was spinning for socks and wanted them to last. Since I was using a hand dyed wool and didn't want to disrupt the colors, I didn't want to blend the nylon in. Instead, I dyed some of the nylon (dyed beautifully) and spun a thin ply. It drafted and spun very smoothly, and my sock yarn is wonderful. I will definitely keep this in stock. I'm thinking about using it in other projects to blend with fibers that tend to pill.
