I had a few issues with some hanks that were tangled, but overall this is one of my favorite yarns - soft, good stitch definition, beautiful colors, and easy to work with.
I purchased Malabrigo Rios in 3 colors. I realize these are hand dyed and can vary. I was very disappointed in the color Camaleon. It shows such lovely pale blues, greens and reds on the website and it is very dark black and teal with red and yellow. It seems like it was mislabeled. The yarn is soft and wonderful to the touch but I’m so disappointed in the color. I’m not even sure what to make with it because it is not a color I would have purchased if it had been represent it correctly. However, the service provided by Paradise fiber was excellent. My order took longer than expected but when I emailed them they got it out the next day. They informed me they were out of two colors I ordered and offered a refund. I opted to choose different colors. I would recommend only buying this product in person. Too much color variance.
I love the yarn base, however the colors which I received did not resemble the descriptions or the photos at all. I know that these are all hand dyed, however the Kris was a grayed out plum/green with absolutely no vibrancy. I understand others have had similar experiences with colors. I won't purchase Malabrigo yarns again.
This yarn is just delicious! I knitted a few baby sweaters with it and it is super soft, very easy to work with and fabulously colored. Absolutely LOVE this yarn.
I love this yarn! I bought some to use in a rug for my bedroom (not woven yet) and for a woven cowl...neither of which I've had time to start! The yarn itself is so very soft, and the colors are very beautiful! The only "con" for me is that (to me) it's not a true worsted weight (like worsted weight acrylic), but I'm hoping that it fulls a bit after being wet finished. And if it doesn't full, I'll still love it!! I'll be buying more of this yarn in the future (sooner rather than later)!
