I’ve been spinning for twenty years. It’s hard to imagine a more fun spin than the Ashland Bay Merino Wool 19.5 Micron. It’s a 2.75” staple which makes it a good candidate for woolen spinning, but the prep of the fiber makes it a good candidate for worsted spinning. I’m a woolen spinner, so it took a few ounces of getting the right feel with this fiber, but the end result is fantastic. Set your wheel up properly and you can spin super fine or bulky with this stuff. It’s a joy.
