A great way to give a fun new fiber a try!

I love trying new fibers, and tencel has been on my wishlist for a while! This fiber is so silky and drape-y, and I have been playing with it and experimenting with blends. I loved the price- Paradise is contributing to my stash-building "problem"!

Gorgeous!

The fiber is so lovely- smooth and soft with even more luster than I expected. I'm sure I will be buying more soon!

Tencel is the trade name for the generic fiber lyocell. Lyocell is a wood pulp product. The wool/cellulose blends are produced to enhance both fibers properties. The viscose type fibers blended with wool have the look and feel of wool/silk products. The wool/cellulose products have the advantage of being less expensive than the silk blends. Tencel is a sustainable fiber, being regenerated from wood cellulose. It is similar in hand to rayon and bamboo, both regenerated fibers. Tencel is soft, silky, absorbent, very strong when wet or dry, resistant to wrinkles and drapes well. Blend this fiber with Hemp, cotton, or wool to enhance these qualities and create a beautiful custom blend suitable for many knitting, weaving, and dyeing projects.
