I recommend this product

Paradise Fibers is my favorite online store

This Finn top spins like a dream. I love the consistency of the top and the elasticity and springiness of the fiber. Love this breed of sheep!

Great for Felting

I really love this Finn roving for wet felting vessels. It allows detail work if embellished heavily, as fibers will migrate, but vessels are very sturdy and keep their shape when dry. It dyes like a champ as well.

Finn Wool Tops

Excellent...used this fiber for our spinning bee at The Big E (New England State Fair)...participants loved it. I am using the rest for Spinzilla!

easy spin!

High micron but still a very pliable fiber. It spins very easily and paradise fibers' service is always great!

Product Details

Finn Sheep were originally imported to North America to use in cross-breeding programs and increase the lambing percentage of commercial flocks. A medium wool with a micron count from 24-31 and a staple length from 3-6 inches. Suitable for hand-spinning and knitting of outer garments such as sweaters, socks, hats, etc.

Finn is an exceptional wool for felting and can be used for traditional (wet) felting, needle-felting, and fulling projects. Finn wool has a soft hand and beautiful luster (shine) otherwise only found in the long-wooled breeds, which are often courser. It is also softer to the touch than other wools with the same micron count. Once you have experienced Finn wool, you may find it's your favorite for hand-spinning!
