The design is by the talented MarinJaKnits using Urth Yarns' newest 16 Fingering yarn comprised of extrafine merino wool. In Marin's own words, this shawl is more of a symbol than a design. There are a few lace and texture elements, but also a lot of garter in the ever-important (and longstanding) rainbow section of this new flag. You'll love the way this yarn effortlessly drapes and you'll be captivated by its soft and squishy hand.

Gauge: 24 stitches and 38 rows = 4 inches in stocking knit, in the round, before blocking (aka the beginning of the pattern) gauge is important. 

Needle Size: US 4 - 3.5 mm (not included in the kit)

Yardage: 1950 - 3069 yards (1783 - 2798 m)
