I’m very happy spinning this. I’ve mixed it with cotton and it blends well and makes spinning cotton easier. The rose grabs the short cotton fibers making it a dream to spin.
I bought the rose fiber to support Romney and Corriedale fleece I botanically dyed for art batts. It seems the fiber works best as a "little goes a long way" both for the aesthetic of a little glimmer, but also because it's so slick. It doesn't pull with other fibers as well (as you might figure). Good for a spinner who has a good grasp of shorter, slippery fibers or maybe someone that's mastered silk which pulls better and grabs its neighbor. I have spun with milkweed and milk thistle fluff and this has a similar luster and fiber quality (slickness). The luster is just amazing and I bought this fiber as a replacement for silk. I'm looking forward to spinning it on its own, I suspect it might be a bit tricky (happy to be wrong). Thank you for offering a fiber like this!
This fiber spins easily, is lustrous and adds drape to your final yarn. I dyed it using cotton dye and it worked beautifully. I like the fiber and will purchase more in the future.
It's always a pleasure to order from Paradise Fiber I can count on great customer service and product
