The Prelude is the newest spinning wheel from the Kromskis of Poland. It has the look of an antique wheel and the high degree of wood turning that the Kromskis are famous for, but it also has all the touches modern spinners expect. The Prelude is a single drive Scotch tension wheel.

The Prelude is easy to treadle, easy to transport, and has an 18" diameter wheel (same as the Kromski Minstrel) for excellent ratios. If you like, you can swivel the mother-of-all in line with the bench for a more compact "package" when moving the wheel or for storage. The Prelude is made of European alder and birch. No Kromski wheel has any plastic parts and as such makes the perfect wheel for reenactors.

The Symphony

This wheel has the details spinners have come to expect with Kromski products - lots of finely turned wood, attention to detail, and all the features spinners ask for. Start with a good size wheel diameter - 24" - that rotates on bearing sleeves that contribute to effortless treadling. The double treadles are well engineered to be comfortable through long spinning sessions. The flyer is double drive but also has Scotch tensioning for single drive use (at no additional charge).

The bobbins will hold a full 4 oz. package of yarn and they fit on all the other Kromski wheels if you start a collection. The Symphony is made of European alder and birch. No Kromski wheel has any plastic parts and as such makes the perfect wheel for reenactors.

The Minstrel

The Minstrel, a new spinning wheel from the Kromskis of Poland, is going to set new standards for castle style wheels. It features a wide, steady base for the double treadle operation and the wheel, which is larger than many upright wheels - 18". The wheel is easy to mount on the two support posts. The third post will mount an optional distaff. Larger than the Kromski Mazurka (below), the Minstrel has stronger, bolder lines and a larger base to accommodate the larger wheel diameter and the double treadles. It is a double drive wheel but comes standard with Scotch tension set-up if your prefer the single drive feel. A threading hook and extra whorl are conveniently stored up front for easy access. The Minstrel is made of European alder and birch. No Kromski wheel has any plastic parts and as such makes the perfect wheel for reenactors. Easy to assemble.

The Polonaise
This beautiful wheel with a 24" drive wheel features superb craftsmanship in an authentic Baltic wheel from Poland. Superbly engineered with pin and socket bearings that support the wheel, resulting in low friction and ease of treadling. No other wheel comes close to this type of craftsmanship in this price range. The Polonaise is made of European alder and birch. Double-drive and Scotch tensioning are included. Bobbins are a full 4 ounces; three are included, as well as a threading hook, an upright tensioned lazy kate, and a complimentary oil bottle. Ratios are 8, 12, 16, and 20 to 1 (two whorls included). Weighs 16 lb.

Mazurka in walnut finish

The Mazurka
The novel wheel-within-a-wheel is reminiscent of mazurka dancers spinning round and round. This award-winning design has a classic eastern European look with superb craftsmanship. It features both double drive and Scotch tensioning and is made of European birch and alder. Three 4-oz bobbins are included, as well as a curved tensioned lazy kate, threading hook, and oil bottle.
Ratios on the 16" wheel are 6, 8, 10, and 12 to 1 (two whorls included).
