The "Revolution" is here! The Revolution Spinning Wheel is a high end production wheel capable of everyday spinning and much more. The Revolution is also the best wheel anywhere for artyarns with our optional multi speed Jumbo bobbin system with ratios of 4.5,6, & 10:1. The standard ratios that come on with the basic package are 6.5,8.5 & 13:1. Artyarns are wild funky and chunky type multi textural design yarns like you see from Lexi Boeger or Jacee Boggs. You'll notice the Revolution has a solid drive wheel instead of joined pieces for a truely handcrafted custom wheel that won't warp over time like other wheels.
Our Paradise Fibers Production Spinning Wheel is called the "Revolution" for many reasons. It was designed for the beginner as well as the advanced spinner. We combined the best features of our most popular wheels and added even more! A spinning wheel should do most of the work for you and this is exactly what our design delivers. (Note our wheel no longer includes the Jumbo Flyer or Lazy Kate but are available separately.) There are a few wheels on the market that refer to production. The Revolution was designed to make yarn and lots of it. It's perfect for spinners that need to a dependable tool that can spin yarn effortlessly and fast. The precision balanced flyer allows you to make lace yarn without changing bobbins. Most wheels (even the nicer wheels we offer) cannot perform this without vibration. The larger the bobbin the more chance for being out of balance. We take the time to balance our flyer and bobbins to make sure the wheel will perform without added vibration at high speeds when spinning lace.
The Orifice sits at a comfortable 34 inches high. The Jumbo orifice is oversized 7/8 inch with 3/8 inch adapter for standard yarns. The Revolution features an adjustable treadle stroke of 2 inch, 3inch or 4 inch, a useful feature not found on any other wheel on the market. The Footprint of the wheel is 22.5 inches by 20 inches wide. This spinning wheel also features adjustable treadle depth which is a patented feature unique to the revolution not found on any other wheel anywhere. This allows you to select a deep scoop treadle setting for maximum control, standard depth for daily spinning, or shallow depth for lace yarns.
We also include treadle straps which allow a whole new level of control over the treadles much like a bike pedal strap. Even just a small amount of lift while treadling can add extra energy into your treadling and make the work smoother and more efficient. This is awesome for longer spinning sessions. You'll also love the double drive for longer sessions, the overall design makes it super efficient and effortless to treadle.
The outer measurements of the standard bobbin measures: 5 inch wide x 3.25 inch with a 7/8 inch core. The Jumbo Bobbin measures approximately 8.25 inches by 4.25 inches with a 1in core (it's huge!) The Revolution spins any way you like including: Single Drive(Scotch Tension), Double Drive and Bobbin Led with the Jumbo Flyer setup!
