Ashford Wool Drum Carder - Fine Cloth

The Ashford drum carders are nice hand crank carders, this one will only make a two ounce batt, so be prepared if you're wanting to process larger batts that you'll have to do more work. However- it's a great entry drumcarder if you've been on the fence about spending a ton of money on a larger electric one.
After you make and spin your first Batt, you'll wonder why you waited so long for your first drum carder!

This is my first drum carder and I picked it because its a fairly middle of the road, low priced carder. There are less expensive and more expensive, finer and coarser in other brands. I wanted a carder that wouldn't leave me wishing I had spent a few extra bucks but on the other hand I did have a budget. This carder is perfect in that it gets the job done, and turns easily as long as you don't feed too much at a time. I rate it a bit lower on value because it didn't come with some accessories that others do like packer and cleaner brushes but I suppose some people may not need them and they are available separately.
As far as Paradise Fibers goes, I was surprised how quickly it arrived. No Joke, I was actually confused when it showed up because I had no idea that it was possible to have it shipped that quickly for free.
Overall I'm quite pleased with my purchase. Paradise did a great job getting it to me and it has made preparing fiber much less of a chore.
