Paradise Fibers Seacell Top Spinning Fiber

I really enjoy working with seacell, but it is so hard to find. The color is rich with an almost honey colored cast. I usually blend this fiber with wool from my merino sheep and use it for making socks. The seacell adds a sheen and depth of color, and the fiber is supposed to be healing to the skin.

I was very excited to have this show up in my Fiber Club package, as I have wanted to try spinning it for a long time but didn't know enough about it to buy it in quantity. The compact little bundle of fiber I received made a surprisingly large quantity of yarn, especially when blended with alpaca. The resulting yarn was super soft and seemed to glow in the sunlight while I was spinning it, while the seacell fiber itself carries a very pleasant and very faint scent of fresh seaweed.
