Country Classics Sampler
Kit includes 3 Ounces of color, One ounce of Synthrapol and directions for mixing etc. Comes with 3 jars of 1oz dye ready to mix. Easy and fun way to experiment with mixing your dyes! Comes with the three primary colors red, yellow and blue. This is a great way to try your hand at dyeing that is easy and fun. This is not a lot of dye but includes everything you need to experiment a bit and keep the process fun. We also offer the individual Country Classics Dye colors in 3oz jars if you would like to start out with a more substantial amount and do some bulk immersion dyeing. Either way Country Classics dyes are easy to use with professional results.

After being overwhelmed by the beautiful choices of color, i went with this sampler kit. I tried it out today, and was blown away by the intense colors of wool that I dyed. Previously I have only dyed with powdered drink mix , food color and Easter egg dyes. The colors produced with the kit exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to getting more colors. As for the process, just as easy as drink mix dyeing, except be sure to use a dedicated dye pot. I used a lidded jar to mix and shake my dye. Great stuff!

i have really enjoyed working with this dye. i do kettle dyeing and hand painting of wool and wool blends. a little goes a long way, the colors are nice and bright and it absorbs/soaks in completely, leaving nice clean water behind. i dye mostly for fun and have an etsy shop where i sell some of my work. everything is one of a kind so i don't worry too much about "true primary" colors or needing to match specific formulas. i just go with the flow.

One ounce is not a lot of dye so once you've tried the true colors, there is not enough to mix secondary colors to strength. In that sense, the "6-color" is VERY misleading - there is not enough dye to make all six colors. For less than 18 dollars you can get three times as much dye, AND choose colors closer to primaries than the Cherry Red, Cornflower Blue, and Buttercup Yellow included in the set.

My big gripe is that the colors included were not true primaries. Choose Ripe Tomato Red, Cornflower Blue, and Maize Yellow if you want primary colors. Get a 3 oz jar of each and you can try a lot of mixing, etc. Use 2 tsps of dishwashing liquid instead of the 1/2 tsp of synthropol, and you're in business!
