I love this loom. It's very well made and easy to put together. Warping was a little confusing, but You Tube solved that problem. Very easy to use, even a child should be able to use it. Now I'm hooked on weaving!

All my crafting friends have portable crafts, and it was driving me up the wall having to bring yarn to wind or ends to sew in when I really wanted to bring my loom to crafting nights.

Now I have my Cricket, I can! It's a great little loom, very portable, good and solid.

I read the instructions booklet, but as a newbie, I was confused. So I went to youtube & searched for Cricket warping & hit a bonanza of instructional videos. After viewing the video, I realized how easy it was and set up the loom for my first project with no problems.

I bought the Cricket Loom as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old grand daughter. I plan to teach her how to weave and this will hopefully encourage her to someday want a more advanced loom.

however: the ties for the beams were too short and i replaced them with my own. i also thought the instructions for putting the loom together and for direct warping are a little confusing. it needs a larger overview (in addition) to see what its supposed to look like, rather than the up close, too confined view...(i have 6 other rigid heddle looms which i put together, so i do know what i am talking about)...but once its together, i just adore this little loom.

it has a great feel, the wood is nice and smooth, its a wonderful portable size for smaller items, for making samples and for carrying around. i like the handles for turning the warp. i've already woven a belt on it and another is warped and ready to weave, so i know i am going to really enjoy this little loom.

This is a great educational tool and fun to use. It can teach folks how fabric is made and the importance of the grain of fabric. It takes some time to put the loom together and set up the warp, but then the payoff is relaxing weaving of the weft! The loom provides a great opportunity to use up your yarn stash, especially those single skeins you bought on sale that won't really make a whole garment but you're dying to use as a unique fiber. Love it!

This was a gift to myself. A simple yet versatile loom that will allow you to get your hands into weaving. Easy to assemble, [...] cute as a bug or a cricket. I do recomend this loom for starting and is very portable. I was able to make a scarf by myself in couple of hours. I highly recommend this loom.

I bought this for my 4 year old granddaughter and myself. I never did any weaving, but wanted to learn. My granddaughter was making potholders, and I thought she would like a challenge. I was able to put it together, and to set up the weaving. She was able to do the actual weaving after it was set up. It is fun for both of us. [...]

It's fine for scarves. Wish I would have bought the wider one for me and the cricket for my grand daughter instead of two crickets. I will purchase the wider one at a later date. Weaving is so much fun and you get a fast product.

Great starter loom. It's easy to assemble and easy to warm. Further, the on-loom warping system makes the warping process go quickly. Unlike slightly larger looms, it doesn't easily allow you to use two reeds at once (to allow for very fine fabrics or complicated weaves), but it's still a great value at its price point.
