These are well designed needles. They're not polished or lacquered, making them slippery, but they're sanded smooth enough to easily slip the stitches on and off. Combined with a nicely contoured concave middle, the stitches stay where you want them. A bit pricey, but the right tool for the job! Recommended.

I have quite a few cable needles. I seem to misplace them. I have the type with the ridges/grooves on them and those catch the yarn making it hard to just slip the stitches off the cable needle. I have the Bryspun and those are nice (when I haven't misplaced them). These BrittanyBirch are wonderful, instead of those grooves the ends are a little fatter. This holds the stitches, doesn't slip out by accident and then lets the stitches slip off easily.

what I like so much about these cable needles is the little dip in the middle....just enough to hold your stitches and smooth enough for the stitches to slide off when needed.......These are absolutely the best cable needles I have ever used...Try them, I bet you too will love them

I bought these needles in San Francisco (sorry, guys) and absolutely love them. The sizes of the needles are perfect for most all knitting you'll do and the smoothness of the wood is not to be believed. Each of the needles is a work of art as they are all different from the other. The graining of the wood, the smoothness of the finish, the size and usefulness are not to be believed. I have three sets of these in different knitting bags (I have cats who like to play with them, so I have to have multiples. Luckily, the boxers leave them alone) and wouldn't be without them.

Once I finally convinced myself to try cabling, I bought these needles immediately. As with all Brittany products, they are great quality, and just what I needed. Being new to cabling, I thought they might be a bit thin for the yarns I like to use, but the largest one worked just fine with even Misti Alpaca Super Chunky. I highly recommend these needles!
