Paradise Fibers is a two hour drive from my house, but the opportunity to try out many spinning wheels and experience the thrill of seeing their shop was well worth the time and gas. Travis set up several wheels for me to try and was very helpful and friendly.

In the end, it was the Kromski Symphony that met all my needs and desires. It spins like a dream, effortlessly, silently, beautifully!

I ordered the wheel online, as Paradise Fibers did not have the clear finish in stock. When it arrived, the Youtube videos made by Tim Horchler of New Voyager were very helpful in setting up the spinning wheel. There was a creak/groan between the treadles, but that was easily solved following instructions I found from Tim on the KromskiSpinners Yahoo group website.

This is a wonderful wheel. I highly recommend it and Paradise Fibers!

I owned 5 wheels in the early 90s. Very expensive and comprehensive. Due to a radical lifestyle change, I had no wheels after 1999.
I now wanted a wheel that would be my "one-and-only," due to financial reasons. I ordered the Symphony and it arrived yesterday. I was exceptionally pleased with the quality of worksmanship. I ordered the mahogany and love the richness of it. I also needed double drive because it affords me great variants in spinning, even tho I love Scotch tension (single drive)!!
It purrs like a kitten and I am already more than satisfied with my purchase. Great wheel at a fantastic price. Tensioned Lazy Kate is the icing on the cake!

I Love my Symphony, it's a beautiful piece of art in my front room, and it's where i spend a good deal of my time spinning, yarn from bulky to fine lace. Putting it together was easy, I had sandpaper and wax on hand to help ensure the best fit for everything.

Kromski wheels often have little quirks, such as bobbins that chatter or other little squeaks and thumps. But they can all be remedied with minor fixes involving candle wax or a little sandpaper. Also the customer service from New Voyager Trading, who import the wheels, is first class and they can answer just about any question you have. This wheel is a real value, and will provide you with hours of spinning pleasure.
