Noro is famous for having weird yarn in amazing colors, and this is no different. This is much softer than other Noro I've knit with, and there wasn't any vegetable matter in it, but it is very inconsistent. I had 2 knots in a ball, one of which was a sudden color break. Also, parts can be very over or under supn. That being said, I'm happy to put up with all of it because the texture of the different materials in this yarn coupled with the inspired color gradients make it worth it. As I was knitting with it I received an endless stream of compliments from knitters and non-knitters who happened to notice my project.

This was a great Noro yarn that worked up quickly. I can't wear wool but love the look of Noro yarn. With mostly a cotton base and just a tiny bit of wool, I was easily able to wear this yarn. Especially after blocking, it got even softer. There are also some great patterns in the Noro books for this yarn.

I purchased three skeins of Taiyo to knit myself a Clapotis. My past experience with this base is that it's both soft and tough - the pattern calls for dropping stitches, and the 'stickiness' of the fibers can be a bit of a challenge. Overall, I love this yarn - it's soft and resilient!

weight varies throughout the skein. But just enough to make it interesting. I love colors so this is an ideal yarn for me. Never boring, as I watch how the colors blend throughout the piece. A joy to knit with. Soft but not terribly so due to the amount of cotton in the blend. Still gentle to your fingers.

This is beautiful yarn! I'm crocheting a top with it right now and it is just turning out so beautiful! Perfect for a summer top since they use cotton and silk with this yarn.
