I love working with these wools, they are soft and the colours are always rich and beautiful. This is one brand of wool that I use consistently in my knitting.
i've never had a bad experience with any of Brown Sheep's yarns, so i had no misgivings about ordering this yarn, sight unseen. it looks and feels great, and knits up beautifully. the price was great too!
the only negative thing i can say is that on most of the balls i purchased, it was nearly impossible to find the center pull; that drives me a little nuts.
that said, if it stays this gorgeous after a washing, I'll definitely be back for more!
I love Brown Sheep yarns. I am making afghans as graduation gifts for the children in the family. Usually I use hard-wearing yarns (acrylic and acrylic blends), but my own children know enough to request the best. Lamb's Pride has the range of colors that we needed and the nice feature of superwash yarn to protect against the inevitable clueless girlfriend trying to help by doing the laundry.
This purchase was an emergency infusion of main color at the end of a project. Everyone compliments the afghan and I always credit my son for choosing the colors. He is looking forward to coccooning up in his oversized afghan - I've got one more navy stripe to go and then I bind off! On to the next graduate . . . .
For my scarf (a gift for a man), this was a lovely, smooth, warm yarn in a great color. It knitted very nicely. The yarn has a slight sheen to it - which looks great and feels nice.
