I have used a dozen or so looms: several floor looms, and several table looms, and of course your smattering of hand looms.

I have the 16" 8 harness, and it is the best combo I have found of small footprint + many harness options. If you are looking for less expensive, a 4 or 8 harness will suit you just fine, but it is very cool that a 16 harness is now available.

A few months later I went ahead and bought the table stand, which has been very helpful.

My favourite things about this loom are:
- it feels nice in your hands, the wood is smooth and solid
- it looks pretty, and the small size makes it unobtrusive in a living room even with the table stand
- it is easy to use, no weird or hard to figure out idiosyncrasies... this is pretty much like a regular table loom just leetlesize!
- the levers are all where you can see them

As far as dislikes, I really don't dislike anything about it. It does have some plastic parts which seems to be common with ashford products these days. The price is a little steep for a 'just play with it sometimes toy', but if you really love weaving and you know how much other looms cost, you'll know this is a fair deal.

Overall: I LOVE it! whether this is your first loom or your 5th, I think it will win your heart.

P.S. did I mention it folds down even smaller than the picture, so you can put it in your car easily? And you don't even have to take your weaving off... I mean, come on, that is pretty awesome!
