I read the reviews, watched the video (which I found to be cute, not offensive!), and bought this swift! I tried it within minutes of being delivered. It works like a dream. Though I haven't used it extensively yet, I have plenty of hanks to wind and I cannot imagine having any problems with it!!!

I used my new yarn swift for the first time and am extremely satisfied! It was easy to put together and works like a charm. The best part is it's made in the U.S.A. Thanks for offering this wonderful product.

This is the first swift I've ever purchased but I've seen other types of swifts used when visiting local yarn shops. It was very easy to assemble right out of the box. It is very stable while turning and works extremely well with my Fricke ball winder. I easily wound a 478 yard ball of wool yarn without tangles or troubles. It is quite large and you will need a wide, clear surface to use it. However, it is quick and easy to both assemble and disassemble for storage. The muslin bag sent for storage is very nice.

I bought this to use both as a swift and a skeiner for my handspun. I appreciated the detail provided in the video on the use of it as a swift (minus the clumsy sexist joke that really should be edited out) However information on the best way to use it as a skeiner need to be included in either another video or the instructions. I think it's nicely made, and easy to assemble and store.

Love the adjustable arms on this swift and how smoothly it glides when it rotates. Works for any size skin you may have, hand spun or store bought. It also comes apart very easily into a great storable size.

I got a ball winder for Xmas so, I bought this to use with it. Works great, spins smooth and you just have to watch for tangles. I prefer to use it with the bushing for a looser ball, since the tight ball was tough to get off the winder. I was winding lace yarn and had no problem getting the skein on the swift. When it hits a tangle it tends to back spin.

After my wooden umbrella swift broke, I shopped online and found this one. I have always heard that these table top swifts are superb, but I had never seen one used. I watched the video and ordered it right away. The price was about half of what I paid for my umbrella swift, and it comes in this small bag so it will be easy to carry, never bulky like the umbrella was. I found that it wound with much less tension on the ball than the umbrella swift. If the yarn is nice quality, I always rewound because the umbrella swift leaves a hard ball, it pulls the energy in the yarn. I would 4 skeins of Socks That Rock and they are nice and relaxed with all of their energy. I heartily recommend this to anyone considering a swift. It will last you forever. The best part about it is that Paradise Fibers, as always, got it pulled, packed. and shipped in 4 days. They are awesome!

The product works great as a swift that holds a skein of yarn for winding the yarn into a ball. I wanted the swift to do the opposite and take it from a ball of yarn into a skein. There is a longer wood piece for this use. This does not work well, or I am using it incorrectly. I watched the video to find out how to use it in this manner, but the video did not cover this. I almost did not complete the video after the man on the video joked about women assembling the product - I believe the comment was even a woman could assemble it. I found the comment quite offensive and if I would have seen the video prior to purchase, I probably would have found another website to purchase the product from. I intend to purchase another swift so I can reskein my yarn, I do not know if I will buy this one again because of the offensive video.

Love it. Got it for Christmas and I was pleasantly surprised. It rotates smoothly and very fast. I am able to turn a skein of yarn into a ball within minutes. It is very stable and I haven't had an issue with it.

This is the first time I used a swift. When I thought of buying a swift I looked at all the different kinds of swifts and the cost. This swift seemed the easiest to use. Great price for the for thought the designer put into it and for the workmanship of the product.
