feels so soft! wears like iron! Review by judy

This stuff is amazing. I spin it really fine on my royal hare support spindle and ply it. I have some fingerless mitts that I made 4-5 years ago & have worn continually that look brand new. They keep my hands warm in snow. I love this fiber!

Soft and Strong Review by Holly

I love how yak can be spun super thin yet stay strong enough to weave, knit, and crochet with without worrying about breaking. I like to mix white yak with angora fiber, which results in a very strong yarn that is very soft and fluffy, perfect for very elegant shawls and sweaters.

pure heaven to spin Review by jennifer

I bought this fiber off the website, unsure if it'd be worth the money- it turns out its WONDERFUL fiber to spin, it's easy to spin it directly from the cloud. I've found my favorite way to spin it so far is with my Jenkins Kuchulu turkish spindle(for thread fine spinning) or with a supported spindle if I want to spin it a little thicker or as fine as my Kuchulu. Lots of fun, I've plans to blend this with other fibers for a super soft art batt- but have been too busy playing with it so far :)

Incredibly soft Review by AlyssaShae

This is a super luxurious fiber. Despite it's short staple it adds a nice touch to finely carded batts when mixed with longer staple fibers. It is a very pleasant fiber, but it isn't fun to spin or card on it's own, due to short staple.

I purchased the yak down in white and dark brown. It's absolutely wonderful... luxuriously soft and a great price. Thanks Paradise!

OMG...this is too "die" (not literally) for. Review by toocoolcampbell

Spun a tiny amount of this just as soon as I opened the bag...no joke, it gives quiviut a run for the money...for not so much money! This should be spun for a special project.

disappointing. Review by Katherine Rohacek
-
I was disappointed in this product. It is very short fiber and seems much like dryer lint. Having never spun yak or fibers from that family, maybe this is typical so my disappointment may be, in part, due to my inexperience with this fiber. I have spun llama, various breeds of wool, silk, and even cotton but I won't be looking for yak fiber in the future.

My favourite fiber so far!! Review by Nicole

This stuff is so awesome... really short staple, super super soft, so easy to spin thin, gives a nice halo... If I had to choose a single fiber to keep me entertained this would be the one. What a pleasure to spin.

Love the Yak! Review by Mary

An ultra fiber! Soooooo soft and luxurious! I've been blending with some Rambouillet for an uber soft yarn that has the most gorgeous halo. Baby face soft!
Shorter staple length might be a challenge for a beginning spinner.
