Paradise Fibers Undyed Ingeo-Corn Spinning Fiber Top White

I got this fiber from my fiber club shipment. I have never even heard of corn fiber! But I am excited to dye and spin it. I am wondering how it takes dye, as I am not sure whether or not I can use protein dye or have to buy dye for celluose fibers. I guess I have some research to do!

I'd never heard of a corn-based spinning fiber before, so when I got this in my Fiber Club package, I was both surprised and pleased to be working with a new fiber. I found this to be very smooth and silky to work with, resulting in a strong, shiny yarn that took vegetable-based dyes really well. I love the idea of there being more sustainable plant-based fibers being available to spin, especially fibers made from the waste parts of plants.
