I'm new to the spinning world, this fiber is the first fiber I've felt that wasn't already made into yarn. It's amazing, soft, fluffy, squishy and yummy! Every time I bring it out, I have to beat my kids and grandbaby with a stick to keep them away from it. I could wrap myself up in it and sleep in it! I'm so glad I found all of you at Paradise Fibers...I'd be lost without you...

I ordered a few pounds this time and this time I found more VM & in a couple spots so far (I'm probably through 1.5lbs) some flattened chunks of maybe caked mud or something else smoothed in with the fiber, and picking it out of the roving resulted in less neat top to dye and spin--not what I'd generally expect from commercially processed top. Still, this is a fantastic price if you order a pound or more, and it's great for trying out a new dyeing or spinning technique.

I was very pleased with this fiber! It is very soft to the touch and whiter & softer then the Ashland Bay wool top spinning fiber I purchased at the same time.

This is a good roving for learning to dye and spin. The price is awesome and its super soft. Its not one I prefer to use when selling my yarns. When spinning thick and thin the slubs don't come out as smooth as a pricier roving. i would definitely use and order this again though for certain projects

I'm delighted to have found such lovely merino at a reasonable price and I've since ordered a couple more pounds. I've dyed it, spun it, and spun it up undyed as well. I'm very pleased with the results and don't let the lack of "superfine" in the title discourage you--this merino is wonderfully soft against the skin!

This is such a beautifully soft roving! I am a relatively new (6 months) at needle and wet felting. I am discovering all the nuances between different sheep's wool, micron count and fiber length. This roving will be wet felted (nuno and other) for scarves...It's so soft, I am sure this will be perfect...I keep touching it on my face...so soft! Love it.

The only reason I gave the price 4 stars is because I got it on sale and I am not really rating the real price. Otherwise, The quality was so great! I got my roving and have not stopped rubbing my face and various body parts on it. It was my first purchase from Paradise and I am now a customer for life!

I've always purchased Merino in a blend. This is so soft, I can't wait to blend it into some of my Romney fiber.

I have really enjoyed spinning this wool. It is easy to work with for a novice wheel spinner. I have been spinning the merino top with recycled sari silk for a beautiful yarn. The silk is a bit harder to work with so having the merino so easy to spin makes incorporating the silk much more enjoyable. Thanks for the great products and speedy shipping!

This was the first time I bought merino from paradise fibers. The fiber was silky and super soft. I blending it with some tencil that I bought here also and the two spun up so nice and easy. The shipping was super fast. I will be sure to buy more in the future.

I was able to blend with my angora from my rabbits. the fiber is easy to work with and it spins and dyes wonderful. love it I am a intermediate spinner and will get more soon! Is a great value also.

This is one of the first marinos i spun when i started spinning in 2008. This has been my go-to fiber for years. It is one of the nicest quality and softest merinos I have purchased. It is easy to work with and takes die fabulously.

I'm a new spinner and this is my first effort at spinning merino. It takes a bit getting accustomed, since previously I had only spun long wools. And for Merino this fiber runs long. Its so lovely though, not sure what I will make with the yaRn but its beautiful and soft. I may sleep with it.

This top was a treat for me to felt. It came together so fast and let a beautiful finish. I will be buying more in the future that is for sure.
It also mixed and blended well with a merino that I had on hand.
Would like to see some dyed results with this product.

I just loveeee this roving! Just started to use it for felting (previously for spinning) and works amazingly beautiful for that as well! Its soooo soft I often hate to use it because its just so nice exactly how it comes!

I am new to spinning and I was so pleased with this fiber when I received it the fiber that came with my learning kit is so hard to draw but this draws like silk I can't wait to try this in fact I'm buying more.

Before I bought this, I had always bought my sheep wool from the farmer, raw and unpicked. I'd get a pretty good deal on it, but I had to wash it, dry it, clean it, cut out the nasty parts and brush it out. In the end, it'd usually take me a good week to end up with wool that was ready to dye. For the amount of time this Merino saves me, however, I think just buying this already cleaned and ready to dye/spin may be the better deal. I'm glad I'm familiar with the process needed to make wool reach this point, but I think I'd rather just buy more of this stuff!

This is my "go-to" fiber. Such a value! It dyes well and spins easily. I have fulled and felted with this and it works beautifully with both. I keep buying this fiber as I am afraid of ever being out of it.

I don't know how you could offer such softness, dye-ability and Merino quality for such a good price-but I am not going to question you, just grab, dye and spin! I have been 'tickled' with all my wool purchases from Paradise Fibers. Thanks!

This is the second time I purchased this top from Paradise Fibers. So soft and lovely to spin with. Takes up dye pretty quick, so add more dye to your dye bath. I am sure I will order some more after spinning this stash up!

What a wonderful fiber and a wonderful price ;0) I was very happy with this. It is very soft and in my opinion the best wool for the price. It takes dye very well and is great for both beginners and the experienced. Also great for felting and wet felting, or just knitting/crochet on its own ;0)

I love spinning and dying this and it makes the softest mitts! This is my favorite wool so far. The best way to describe it is 'yummy' (although not edible).
The price is pretty good, but I would buy a lot more if it was a bit cheaper.

While not a super-fine merino, this wool is a great value. It was mostly clean, uniform in length, and easy to draft. It also felts beautifully and accepts dye well.

I received this fiber last week. It is so soft and a joy to spin. The yarn is wonderful and I can't wait to finish the spinning so I can knit a sweater.

I bought 16 ounces last summer to dye. It's got to be handled really gently to avoid the slight felting that can happen. That's just the nature of merino. It was pristine with no vegetable matter. Really nice fiber.

I have researched extensively and it is the best price with shipping for the specifications given. I have also seen several good reviews for this site.

This fiber was very nice. It was clean (with only the minimal veggie matter), not too compressed, and as soft as expected. It drafts fairly easily and cards up very nicely! The quality is uniform and the finished product is still fairly soft.

I would recommend this for beginning spinners and as a staple for everyone else. The fiber works great for felting soap, too! It still felt soft even after I felted the soap. I can't wait to order more!

When the package came at first I wasn't sure it was the one with my spinning fiber because it was so small. I pulled out the bag expecting the fiber to be compacted, but it fluffed up so nicely you would never guess that it had ever been shipped.
It dyes up so well, and spins smoothly even after dyeing. This is my go-to top for dyeing.

What beautiful fibre. I'm a very beginning spinner and was surprised at the quality and softness...I picked something inexpensive to practice with and have ended up with some beautiful yarn.

This fiber was SO wonderful to pet and spin. I dyed mine using food coloring and it dyed evenly with no felting whatsoever. I would describe it almost as spongy or squishy, it had a lot of bounce when I pressed on it or drafted it. Really this is a great fiber for a great price, especially considering I'm a college student. I love a good deal on a great fiber. With it being so soft, I would recommend it for anything next to the skin.

Takes dye beautifully and is wonderful to spin. It makes a lovely bouncy yarn, anything from laceweight to bulky. This is a very versatile wool that I LOVE to spin, especially long-draw from the fold. Knits up into warm hats, mittens, scarves, baby clothes,etc. I wouldn't make socks from it, because merino just doesn't stand up to the abrasion as well as other breeds of wool.

My sister is learning to use the drop spindle and she was very excited to receive this fiber and looks forward to using it very much.

I love this fiber for felt-work. It locks up easily and the result is a soft, smooth surface and a strong, dense felt.
