Tosh Vintage is a 100% superwash merino wool, with a generous 200 yards per skein. Working up at a versatile worsted gauge tosh vintage is perfect for hard-wearing sweater and accessory projects. We fell in love with Tosh Vintage at first sight...and squeeze. Each squishy soft skein is hand-dyed in small dye lots and machine washable. You will be addicted to the lovely colors and the incredibly tight twist, which gives unbelievable stitch definition. Worsted weight superwash yarn, slightly thicker with a tighter twist than tosh worsted. the vintage naming implies that this base will become your go to yarn for a hard wearing durable fabric, like mill spun yarns of vintage years.

I love this yarn...it's so smooth and squishy so it's a joy to have on the needles. I've made a sweater knit at a loose gauge and it had good drape as intended. On the other hand, I've knit some fingerless mitts at a tight gauge and loved how sturdy the wool was. I don't need to mention how amazing the colors are....truly unique and mature shades for everyone!

This is a great yarn if you want a firm worsted weight that will construct your garment well. The colorways are just fantastic, and look truly beautiful when they are knitted. I would think this yarn best for garments or accessories with a more constructed look--I knitted a really nifty bowler hat with mine!
