Louet Clyde Boucle Wool and Silk Yarn

I am so thrilled Paradise sells this stuff, as it's getting harder to find. This yarn is so much fun! The bounciness of the bouclé and the softness of the wool make this a dream come true for the kinesthetic knitter - it's one of the touch-friendliest yarns around! I have made hat and scarf sets out of three different colors and hope the yarn's availability will last long enough for me to work with a few more colors, too!

I got this yarn on sale which made it affordable to use in an afghan. I'm combining it with Lamb's Pride bulky and using the Lamb's Pride to bring out those colors in the Boucle I want to accent - a perhaps unconventional use but it's working out well. Just make sure you watch what you're doing and have good lighting or you'll end up with your needle through one of the many loops rather than under the entire strand. Take it from me, this is not a yarn you want to have to rip out! It's not easy to do so, and at times results in the yarn getting uncomfortably thin in places.

I have had it split a little while knitting. The boucle is not as much of a challenge as I feared. It hides any stitich, so whether you knit in stockinette or garter, or accidently mix the two, it's hard to see much difference.

I hope it will soften a bit with washing. This will make a lovely scarf , shawl, or throw.

This yarn is very beautiful! Will definitely be using it again. Shipping was a nightmare. I ordered product October 8 and did not get until the end of Nov. beginning of December. Once I was able to get a hold of someone product was then shipped to me quickly

This yarn has great rich colors, great texture, perfect for adding the "finishing touch" to a scarf, hat, or sweater. The colors are so easy to match with different yarns I have. I am going to order some more :)

I've chosen different colors of this yarn to make necklaces to match the garments worn for fall, winter and spring. They are so light weight, match most all colors you are wearing, and can be worn at any event to complement your wardrobe. Dressy enough for a fine evening out, relaxing enough for slacks and sweaters, and cozy enough for sporting events. Foods got dribbled on it. Just do a cold water wash and dry on flat surface and it is ready to go again.

I wove with this yarn as weft over a bulky wool warp to create a delightful fabric for a handbag. I also used it with mohair in a shawl on a triloom. It's a wonderful weaving yarn.
I tried crocheting with it and gave up, not fun.

It's just more forest green and less teal green than the photo suggested, but the yarn itself is great.

Working with this yarn gives great results for very little effort. The yarn does it all. The colorations in the Fireworks yarn I'm working with now are subtle yet very fun. I would highly recommend this yarn but don't buy the pink - it's on my list!

I love the product - howeve I didn't realize I was ordering wool. Luckily my friend could use it and bought it from me. I'm most impressed with your response time. I like your web site and will probably be back for a loom when I get a little more knowledge of weaving

I wove this yarn on a triloom with the addition of some recycle sari silk yarn. It made a beautiful shawl.
The yarn was considerably darker than I was expecting.

I was very excited to get this yarn, as the pictures were very beautiful. It is exactly as I imagined. I will probably make a hat, scarf an mittens from this yarn, It is awesome.

I really love the texture this yarn provides for weaving wearable fabric. I don't care for the pink variety since the colors don't all blend well. Maybe for a child's jacket.

This yarn was such a great deal that I used 20 balls for the weft of a blanket I wove and it turned out great.

It weaves up at 8epi with a soft hand and will make an elegant jacket. If I had woven wider yardage the color transitions in the yarn would have made narrow bands...at 28 inches it was perfect for rich "sunset" shadings. I can't wait to try some of the other colors!

Its very soft on the hands ,so it's not tough to work with...I use it double strand- it take a bit of care in making sure to get it all up and through the stitch. I preferred larger needle size needle size than what is recommended.

I couldn't resist this yarn as it was a closeout. I would have bought 1 or 2 skiens but for the price I bought the 10 pack. The colors are beautiful. I will probably make a very light shawl with it and use it plied with other yarns.

I used this yarn to make a sweater coat. It crocheted easily, hiding any mistakes which I guess was a plus since it was almost impossible to unravel. The fabric was even more attractive than I thought it would be. The colors are beautiful. I fell in love with the different colors that are all blended together. Because I am a novice I gave the yarn to my sister to make a sweater for me. The sample square turned out so pretty I can't wait to get the sweater.

I love the intense color of this yarn. It feels good in your hands, and knits up beautifully. I also like the perfect coordination with Bonnie yarns.
