LeClerc Compact 24 Folding Loom - Compare to Schacht Baby Wolf

I purchased this loom in August of last year and have not been able to weave anything on it. The friction brake is continuously slipping, I have not been able to keep tension in the warp at all. The metal warp rods bend easily. I have spent many nights crying over this loom, and over the money I wasted on it.

The loom arrived after 2 1/2 weeks missing all the treadles and missing the hardware that attaches the X frame to the castle. Apparently the person at LeClerc who checked it forgot to put those parts in, though they were ticked off as shipped.

LeClerc was on their summer vacation for two more weeks. Bill at Paradise was very helpful and the missing parts were sent by overnight express the day after LeClerc resumed operation.

Loom parts are nicely crafted. Also of note, they pack tons of cardboard into the shipping boxes. They also required an in-person aged over 21 signature on delivery!

Assembly is fairly straightforward. They use special screws that have square recesses in the heads, not phillips or slotted screws. Screwdrivers for these are supplied with the loom. However, a good power screwdriver with the appropriate bits really helps.

Operation is smooth. There are no big surprises. It folds and moves easily.
