The Kromski Minstrel is created by the Kromskis of Poland, is setting a new standard for castle style wheels. It features a wide, steady base for the double treadle operation and the wheel, which is larger than many upright wheels - 18". It comes with 3 bobbins, also includes threading hook, attached Lazy Kate and bottle of spinning wheel oil. Larger than the Kromski Mazurka, The Minstrel has stronger, bolder lines and a larger base to accommodate the larger wheel diameter and the double treadles. It is a double drive wheel but comes standard with Scotch tension set-up if your prefer the single drive feel. A threading hook and extra whorl are conveniently stored up front for easy access. The Minstrel is made of European alder and birch. The design is perfect for reenactors. Very easy to assemble. It is available unfinished or with a factory clear, walnut or mahogany finish that is exceptional.

This is the first wheel I purchased. Very easy to use but I do recommend practicing with the pedals before you start actually spinning fiber. Double treadle are easier to use than single because your other foot wants to work and you end up leaning if you only have one treadle. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I love the kromski minstrel! I bought it unfinished, and finished it myself. It was easy to assemble. I think it's great for the price that the wheel's ratios are so varied compared to other wheels, and if you are interested in the jumbo whorl kit for the minstrel, it has the lowest ratios of all jumbo whorls. It is a beautiful piece, and it works beautifully. I would recommend this wheel to my friends.

This is my first spinning wheel of my very own! Received today, and assembled, oiled, and played with it. Fairly easy to put together, with the help of New Voyager videos. I haven't spun on a wheel for 15 years, but I found this very easy and fun to use. Spun half a bobbins worth playing with thickness, and it doesn't even feel like time has passed! Absolutely love this wheel so far!!

This is my first spinning wheel. I bought the unfinished kit and stained it myself. I love how it turned out. It was easy for me to put together. People are drawn to it when I take it to the Farmers Market (only weighs about 12lbs, so it's very portable). It is also very easy for me to spin with. I love the fact that it can be set up for either double drive or scotch tension. This wheel will be with me for a long time. I think for the price it is a wonderful beginners wheel that can grow with a person over a long period of time.
