Addi LACE Click Long Tip Interchangeable Needle Set

I own several Addi Turbo single needles, but have recently really gotten into lace knitting. I found the regular Addi needles although slippery, did not have a sharp enough point and my favorite "pointy" tip bamboo needles were not slippery enough for speed.

After reading multiple reviews (on other sights) I decided to try this set upon receiving a FANTASTIC coupon code in the Spring 2012 issue of "Knit Wear" Magazine.

I received my needles 2 days after ordering & immediately cast on 300 stitches in lace weight yarn for a pleated, lace stole. My fingers were flying, the long tips easily knitting & purling at high speed on fine wool. I do have a naturally tight gauge & on size 4 needles with such fine wool, the yarn does sometimes catch on the connection point between the cable & the needle. I am used to 'pushing' my yarn along the needle due to my tight tension, so this does not bother me, but it may really irritate other knitters.

The stole I was making also called for a lifeline to be inserted so as to mark a row to be picked up for pleating. The lifeline feature of the Addi LACE Click Long Tip Interchangeable Needles was invaluable for this process. I watched the YouTube video produced by Paradise Fibers & found that threading my lifeline onto a needle to thread the cord was easiest. This is a wonderful feature IMO.

I do own a Denise Interchangeable needle set & will soon be placing it for sale. The Addi set far surpasses it. This set will not replace my bambo needles, as sometimes I desire a needle that will grip,the yarn better.

In summary, I found the cable join to be a bit sticky as other reviewers have posted ( but not a deal breaker for me), the long tips to really increase my speed at fine gauge projects, and the lifeline to be a really useful addition. I strongly recommend this product & believe you can get a great product at a super price by purchasing from Paradise Fibers with one of their many sales or coupon codes.

The reviews did not let me down! The long tips makes my knitting faster and picking up the yearn is a breeze. The yarn slips smoothly on the needle, the finishing is flawless. I STRONGLY recommend purchasing these, they will not let you down. I love lace knitting and they did not disappoint either on lace yarn

So easy to use. They feel great in the hand and make my knitting go so fast.

I bought this set for two reasons ... 1) I love the sharper points with the longer tips, and 2) the lifeline cords. I am sooooo in love with these cords. I find I can thread waste yarn via a needle through the cord pretty easily, and the cord closes right back up after pulling the waste yarn through. What's NOT to love about my Addi's??? Now if Addi would start selling lifeline extra cords .....

I bought these for the longer needles and the ability to add a lifeline. I love knitting with these. I used the lifeline placement only once, it was hard to get the little slit section to open but it finally worked. Since I had thicker yarn on the needles the slit didn't close back down to the original but it did not interfere with my knitting.
You can use the other click set cords but your needle length will be different. Same is true for using these cords with other clicks.
