Clover Soft Touch Steel Crochet Hooks

I'm knitting a lace shawl with sock weight yarn and needed a size 16 hook to use with the beads for this shawl. This hook is great as it has a large grip area and by holding the hook close to the side of the bead I can just pop the bead over the loop of yarn, place the loop back on the needle and knit the next stitch. Rarely do I get only part of the yarn in the hook even though it is way smaller than what you would use to crochet with using this yarn.

I used to hate working with the small steel hooks because my hands started to go numb from holding such a small hook and working tiny stitches. These steel hooks have the usual Clover Soft Touch handle, which makes them much easier to hold, plus each hook comes with a cap (most tiny steel ones do, but it's just an added bonus). I can now work with lace weight yarns and threads with ease.

I'm used to paying $11 for a set of hooks for thread crochet, but I had some ultra fine thread that required a size 14 hook. This hook works beautifully, now I just have to get better at working with such tiny thread!

These hooks are the best. I have RA and my hands tend to cramp after I've been crocheting for awhile. The cushioned grip really makes working with these hooks much more comfortable. I have a size 8 hook and intend to get the entire set!

I don't have any hand issues, so when I got these, i was thinking tat the extra bulk would just get in the way. But it didn't. One thing I love is that they are easier to turn. When you're crocheting and you have to continuously turn the hook, some of the smallest sizes are hard to turn because there's no grip. These really are easier, even for someone who doesn't have hand issues.

Excellent product! Worth its price. Lessens hand fatigue, strain that you experience from working with regular round hooks. I have the whole set and have purchased them for friends.
