Filatura Di Crosa Superior yarn is a supersoft blend of cashmere and silk, perfect for lace and all fine knitting projects. The luxurious quality of this fine, brushed yarn is echoed in its sophisticated palette of solid colors. Typically you will find this type of yarn as a mohair and silk blend, but a lot of people find mohair itchy. Now you can have the lovely fuzziness that you get with those types of yarn while experiencing the softness of cashmere and silk. I'm slowly working my way through patterns in Victorian Lace Today and can't stand anything with mohair. FINALLY, a yarn that produces a similar halo effect (even lighter and airier!) and that almost can't be felt next to my skin! I first saw a sample in a yarn store knitted up and for as light and fluffy as a finished product is, it is also amazing WARM (well, duh! it's CASHMERE). I'm excited to see so many colors with Paradise and a great price - I'll be buying a lot of this yarn in the future!

One cautionary note: like other halo-y yarns, this yarn does not easily yield to tinking. With that feature and the fact that it truly is a luxury yarn (although a relatively affordable one), if you are a new or not-yet-very-confident knitter, then use this with a simple pattern to minimize possibilities for in-progress errors.

Simple patterns + luxury yarn often yield the true classics though - enjoy!
